OUR ETHOS
Anthill Studio is a Vancouver-based design studio offering interior design and architectural millwork, with a focus on built-in solutions that feel both purposeful and personal. We work on homes, offices, and everything in between—designing kitchens, bathrooms, workspaces, and custom storage that are meant to be lived in, used daily, and appreciated over time.
What guides our work is a deep respect for precision—not just in the technical sense, but in how a space can quietly support the way someone lives. Our background in fabrication and installation helps us think beyond surfaces, shaping every detail to fit both function and feeling. We believe that well-crafted spaces don’t have to feel rigid—they can be warm, generous, and enduring.
We stay closely involved throughout each project, taking time to understand how our clients live and what matters to them. Every material is chosen with care, every detail executed with discipline. We don’t just deliver solutions—we create spaces that are functional, personal, and built to last.

Yi-Hsuan Andy Liao
Lead Designer
Andy holds a degree in Industrial Design from Emily Carr University and studied Spatial Design at Aalto University in Finland. Having grown up between Vancouver and Taiwan, Andy brings a layered perspective to his work—drawing from both Eastern and Western design values, blending clarity and restraint with warmth and intuition.
Fluent in 3D modeling and rendering, Andy brings precision and visual clarity to each phase of the design process. He believes design should feel personal and lasting—not just functional—and takes pride in collaborating closely with clients, learning about how they live, what they value, and shaping thoughtful spaces around those stories.
Outside of design, Andy is passionate about architecture, cars , and analog photography. He photographs all of Anthill Studio’s completed projects himself, capturing each space with the same care and intention that goes into its creation.
